Second quarter revenues rose 12.7% to $41.9 million in fiscal 2011 compared with $37.2 million in the second quarter of fiscal 2010. Net income rose 19.1% to $6.2 million, and net income per diluted share increased 20.6% to $0.41 compared with the prior year’s second quarter.

ATTUS Launches "Website Comply" for Financial Institutions

ATTUS Technologies Inc., the trusted compliance advisor to over 4,500 financial institutions and businesses nationwide, now applies its unparalleled regulatory expertise to websites through its Website Comply review service for financial institutions.

Website Comply is a comprehensive review of a financial institution’s compliance with all applicable website-related FFIEC guidelines and other regulatory standards, such as Unfair/Deceptive Acts or Practices (UDAP), privacy requirements under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), legal and copyright obligations, website-related aspects of specific federal regulations and many more.

Designed and conducted by ATTUS Risk and Information Security Consulting (RISC) Services, Website Comply includes an analysis of the financial institution’s overall website management in addition to the assessment of its compliance with specific regulatory requirements.

One of the main goals of Website Comply is to ensure that the financial institution’s website uses clear, conspicuous and accurate content that consumers can quickly and easily understand, and incorporate when making financial decisions. Another goal is to determine if the appropriate customer notices and required disclosures are triggered when called for by federal regulations.

“Even before the Dodd-Frank Wall Street and Consumer Protection Act became law, examiners were already keenly focused on consumer protection this year,” said Tom Fedell, president and CEO of ATTUS Technologies, Inc. “Dodd-Frank is only going to intensify that focus. As one of the business locations most frequented by consumers, an institution’s website is under significant scrutiny. We wanted to give financial institutions the necessary resources to meet and surpass that scrutiny.”

Each Website Comply review is client customized based on the complexity of the financial institution’s website and the specifics of its web content. Point-by-point analytics by the client’s RISC Services consultant identify any conflicts between the website’s content and federal regulations. It also ensures the web content is designed to accurately reflect the diverse and unique community served by the financial institution.

Website Comply also delivers a proactive mitigation strategy based on all of the review’s findings. “It’s not enough to just identify website-related compliance gaps,” added Fedell. “Financial institutions have so much on their plates right now and need someone to provide straightforward and sensible solutions to rectify those gaps. That’s what ATTUS does with Website Comply.”
